Science on the Move

 Agency for Citizen Science &
Science Communication

We support projects that bring citizens and scientists together in research to gain scientific knowledge. Our clients include research institutions, educational establishments, associations, NGOs, municipalities, and many more.

Citizen science makes scientific research accessible and experiential for anyone interested. It actively engages non-scientists in the research process, empowering them to collect and analyze data for scientific projects. This collaborative effort results in the acquisition of valuable data and insights.

Science communication conveys science-related topics to the public. It focuses on dialogue and an exchange with the public.

As an agency for citizen science and science communication, we support organizations in planning, implementing, and evaluating their own citizen science projects. We also provide advice and assistance on all matters related to science communication.

SCI:MOVE is here to accompany and assist you in all phases of your citizen science project or science communication formats.  We aim to help you generate valuable scientific insights by engaging the public in dialogue and working jointly with them on equal footing.

Please feel free to contact us for suggestions concerning a collaboration and a non-binding consultation offer.

Impressions of our Projects

"Anna and Laura from SCI:MOVE supported my colleagues and me in preparing a DFG grant application for Public Engagement. We greatly benefited from their strategic guidance, ideas for citizen science, and the introduction of various evaluation tools for our planned activities. They were flexible in addressing the strengths and weaknesses of our preliminary work, tailoring two workshops with valuable inputs that we continue to use as a resource. At the same time, they provided us with ample space to collaborate creatively and lay the foundation for the concepts that ultimately enriched our grant proposal."

Impressions of our Projects

"For the support in the accompanying research project for the competition 'Auf die Plätze! Citizen Science in Deiner Stadt' by the Museum of Natural History Berlin and Wissenschaft im Dialog, we sought experienced partners with expertise in social science research on citizen science. We found them in Anna and Laura from SCI:MOVE. Both of them provided excellent support throughout the entire research process with their extensive experience in using social science research methods and working on citizen science projects. They were flexible and always accommodated our needs based on the project's development stage. We thank SCI:MOVE for the outstanding all-inclusive package."
